Characteristics of the Curriculum

Module Experiential Learning

The design of the Humanities Curriculum focuses on the overall learning experience of students to enable them to gain maximum benefits at different learning stages. The curriculum is drawn from daily life to spark students' curiosity, enhance motivation, stimulate thinking, and promote discussion. Various learning contents are divided into units to establish clear teaching goals, content, and assessment methods. Different activities are designed to develop students' generic skills.

Values Education and National Security Education

The humanities curriculum emphasises using different methods to cultivate students' core values. The curriculum includes a variety of activities such as visits, lectures, games, events, experiences, and competitions to deepen students' understanding of Chinese culture, national history, geography, and recent developments, thereby strengthening students’ sense of national identity.

Independent Learning

The curriculum focuses on improving students' self-management and planning abilities which encourages them to effectively utilise subject resources and library resources through a dual-track learning model. Students are encouraged to explore personalised and diverse independent learning models, alongside various teaching strategies, to strengthen their generic skills and independent thinking skills.
